The Na Dubh Ghall U9′s won by 4 goals – 5 points and 2 skill points to 5 points against Fingal Ravens, best for NDG was Jamie Craig. U13 girls had a narrow win over a very good Perigrines team in Hartstown, best for us was Karla and Clareese. Well done to Na Dubh Ghalls very own Katie Grassick, Emma Dowling and Lauren Cuthbert all members of the Dublin Thunders cheer-leading team who took an incredible 2nd place at the world championship in Florida on Saturday, they add this to the Irish title they won before Christmas. Club Notes
Our Nursery went out on a cold Saturday morning to play St. Monica’s at Edenmore, they went onto play two fine games with some excellent football on display. NDG came out on top in both games with great team performances by both our teams that all players get mom awards this week, thanks to Monica’s for hosting the games. The NDG U9 hurlers played some fantastic hurling in beating St. Pats of Palmerstown by 6 -1 to no score. Mom for NDG was Robert O’Connor, special thanks to St. Pats for the loan of a couple of players. U10 boys played a great game of hurling against St. Monicas running out victors with a score of 8 goals & 2 pts to 3 goals, mom Kalum Meade and most imp David Farrelly. U13 boys had a great victory against a tough Ballyboughal side, great team performance. Special mention for Patrick Mongan and Ciaran Cullen who had great debut games, mom Jake Kenny. U16 boys played Good Council on Saturday and had a good win, Captain Mark Durran, Danno and Jonnie all played very well. Well done to Lauren who made her debut for Dublin U14 ladies team Vs Kildare on Saturday. It was a great win for the girls, well done to you all. The Nursery played two good games of football on Saturday morning with a good showing from our young footballers in both games, thanks to Scoil Ui Connall for arranging the games. U9′s drew 3-11 with Binn Eadir, good performances from NDG with Nathan Bruen best for NDG. U10 boys had a good win away to Ballyboughal on Saturday, fine weather was matched by fine football with Craig Kavanagh man of the match and congrats to Dylan Burke on a great first game for the Dark Strangers. A little bit of history was made on Sunday when our first ever Minor team was beaten away to Castleknock, a rather depleted team mad the best of the match. A great win for our U11 girls on Saturday in their first league match, all played very well with Katie Grassick player of the match. U15 girls got the season off to a great start with a 12 point victory, great team performance, Lauren and Lisa the girls of the match. Thanks to the girls from the U13′s who played with us. Congratulation’s to our U7 nursery hurling team which placed 2nd in the indoor hurling tournament in Gormanston. This week they had a superb win against Rathoath with outstanding displays by Alan Lawless and Cian Donnelly but great credit to every member of the team and all players deserved man of the match award this week. Our u9 team finished their tournament with a 5 – 1 win finishing in winning fashion with excellent performances by all with Cian Grassick and Jack Kennedy best for NDG. Well done to all the players on their efforts for the past 6 weeks. On Saturdays the U9 lads went down 1 – 0 Vs O’Dwyers, despite the reverse a very good performance by NDG with Sean Walsh MOM. The U10′s played some good hurling on Saturday with some great individual displays of hurling, best for NDG was Luke Doherty with Ben Cuthbert most improved.
