Club Notes

A great 4-1 win for our U8′s v St. Pats Palmerstown in their first hurling match, many thanks to Pats for traveling in bad weather, best for NDG Jack Crean and Mom Alan Lawless, special mention for a great goal scored by Ben Grassick. U9′s lost 10-6 away to Round Towers, a great game was enjoyed by all, Jack Kennedy was MOM for NDG, a special word of thanks to Roundtowers for the loan of Conor and Alex who did a great job. U10′s played a great game of hurling against a very good Maurs side, best for NDG was whole team and M.imp Alex Mathews, big thank you to the parents who came out to Rush on such a wet morning. U16 boys had a good win in the league against second placed Boden to hold onto top spot, Jonnie in Midfield had hands of glue in the second half and Lee McDermot also had a cracker. Well done to the Dublin Ladies Football team who won their All Ireland semi-final last Saturday, roll on the Dubs in an All Ireland final.

Club notes

Our U8′s had a tough first match on Saturday morning against Na Fianna, well done to all, best for NDG was Nathan Melia with Ciaran Bolger most improved. The U9′s team played in a 3 team blitz on Saturday morning with Erin go Bragh hosting. In the first match NDG won by two skill points with superb blocks by the lads. In our second game NDG played strong Parnells teams and came out victorious by two points, onto the third game and again NDG where to strong for our host team to win by two goals to no score, and so to the final game where there was a reverse of our first game with Parnells with NDG going down by 1 point. There was some great team performances and great football with Paul Nestor shinning for NDG throughout the blitz. U10′s – a great game of football played by both NDG and St Finians with NDG just edging it in a very entertaining game with some brilliant displays from both sides, with whole team giving MOM performances. U13 NDG had a hard fought victory with only 13 players against a tough Naomh Fionnbarra’s team. Great all round display from the lads in black n white. U13 girls lost to a good Skerries team, best for NDG was Danelle and Karla, many thanks to Chris from Skerries for the cold cool pops at half time. U15 girls wrapped up their league with a tremendous win on Saturday, they are now league winners and deservedly so, they have had a great league campaign winning every game, you have a very proud mentor who is still drying off after the soaking you all gave her. Its a great achievement girls and the club is very proud of you all. Many congratulations to the Dublin Ladies U14 team who are Leinster Champions after a great win over Kildare on Sunday. Well done girls and good luck in the All Ireland semi final this weekend.

Club Notes

Nursery played Fingal Ravens on Saturday in glorious sun shine, Cian Donnelly and Annastasia were superb, special mention to Mickeal and Nathan who played their first game. U9 played some great hurling to win 6 goal 1 pt to nil, mom was Cian Grassick. U10′s a great game of hurling played by both teams, some excellent hurling from NDG with the whole team giving it everything well done lads. Football training Monday and Hurling training every Thursday. Great win for U11 girls on Tuesday against Parnells 5-6 to 0-2 potm goes to the whole team as they were all great. U13 girls had a great game v Na Fianna in Seagrange, girls played great with Karla, Rebecca, and Niamh playing great. Get well soon wishes go out to Joy our Club Secretary, hope you are back soon.

Club Notes

Our sincere condolences go to the Foley family on the death of Paddy who was a stalwart Chiarans player, mentor, Manager and member for over 40 years. Paddy also in later years helped with the new Gaa club in Baldoyle and helped restart the Juvenile section of Binn Eadir, one of life true gentlemen, Paddy Foley. Congratulations to our U9 boys who made their Communion on Saturday and our U9/U10′s who were for once angelic like, singing in the choir. U16 boys had a very good win V Cuala in Dalkey last Monday good work ethic and discipline lead to the win with Ciano and Davey having a great game. U13 girls many thanks to Lucan for the friendly on Sunday in a tough but fair game, the Baldoyle girls came out on top with Karla Ong, Ciara Lawless and Ciara Murrey having great games. U15 girls had a brilliant win over O’Dwyers on Thursday playing fantastic football in the process, girl of the match Lisa Flood, the girls carried on their unbeaten run by Naomh Mearnog on Saturday a great team performance. Keep up the good work girls you are all doing great. Minors gave a good performance V Fingallians loosing by 2 pts with Al and Bermo having a fine game, many thanks to Fingallians for the help with the fixture. The U11 girls have a match in Seagrange park on Tuesday 11th @ 6.30pm all support is very welcome.

NDG U9′s drew with Trinity Gaels 4-4.it was a great game and all the boys performed really well.MOM was Eoin Kelly.Our U10′s played a super game of hurling against a strong O’Tooles side with some very good hurling from both sides.MOM Cian Grassick for some brilliant saves,Mip Craig.Well done to Lauren and the Ladies U14′s who had a great win on Tuesday to get themselves into the Leinster final,Good luck girls !! Dissapointment again for our U15 girls when their game was called off on Thursday.
