Club Notes

On Saturday morning the Club organised a U8/U9 blitz between NDG, Garristown and Fingal Ravens, and played on the main pitch at Innish Fails grounds in Balgriffin. All clubs had two teams participating and each team played 3 matches. It was a fine morning and the football on display was a very good standard, the future looks good for all 3 clubs with the caliber of players on show. Thanks to Garristown and Fingal Ravens for traveling out and to Innish Fails for the use of their facilities. U15 girls beat a very strong Clan na Gael to get through to the Shield Final well done girls. Check with Sarah for details of venue etc.

Club Notes

U8 boys had a great victory over Beann Eadir on Saturday morning, some great hurling on show, mom for NDG was Sean Elliot with Anna most improved. Our U9 boys put up a good performance but lost to a very strong Good Counsel team, there was some good performances from all players with Cian Grassick mom for NDG. Great win for the U11 girls in the play offs to secure a semi final place, player of the match for our girls was Gemma Sheridan. U13 girls lost their semi final V O’Dwyers after extra time on Saturday, 3 bad injuries to key players was costly but the girls were superb and worked their socks off, well done girls. Our U15 girls team play their semi final on Wednesday night at 7.30 in Clan na Gael, support needed and appreciated, best of luck girls.

Great victory V St. Margarets for NDG U8′s, most improved for NDG Jamie Burke, player of the match Annastasia, great goals scored by Paddy, Scott and Ben. Training Wednesday 6 – 7pm St Neasains. NDG U9 boys lost by 16 to 12 pts against Binn Eadair, a fantastic 2nd half performance almost saw them close a 13 pt deficit, mom for NDG – Paul Nestor. U15 girls had an amazing win over Castleknock, playing fantastic sporting football. Well done girls every single one of you were brilliant. On Sunday U11, 13 & 15 girls played against each other with some great football on display, well done girls. All training indoors from now on in the gym at St Neasains – Monday U9/U10 6 – 7pm, Tuesday U11/U13 girls 6 – 7pm, Wednesday Nursery 6 – 7pm, U13 boys 7 – 8pm, Thursday U15 girls 6 – 7pm.

U8′s thanks to St Maurs for the hurling match, mom Cian Curley and Mimp Ciaran O’Daly. A really brilliant performance from the NDG U9′s at their Hurling Blitz, 3 wonderful efforts from all the team who done the club proud. MOM for NDG this week is Jamie Craig, but every member was superb, special thanks to Paddy Doyle and Sean Elliott from the U8 for togging out and thanks to Na Fianna for stepping in to host the blitz. Good win for the U11 girls to get them a place in the semi finals, potm Leah Campbell. U13 girls had a great game drawing with Ballyboden, great performance by NDG with a great save by the Boden keeper right at the end to deny us a win, well done girls.
