Na Dubh Ghall Clubnotes
In their final match together after initially coming through the nursery together, the NDG U12′s played a friendly match at home against Good Counsel. In a close run game, Good Counsel won the match by a single point, but the result didn’t matter. With a large crowd watching from the sidelines, the boys did what they have always done. They played with heart and passion. With togetherness and a good deal of skill. They represented themselves and the club with great aplomb. They were and are a credit to their families. On behalf of the coaches, thank you lads. It’s been a pleasure watching you grow up over the last 7 years. Best wishes to each and every one of you for the future.
Congratulation to U/16 Girls who qualified for Championship final v Monicas with a hard fought draw with Skerries. Neither side would give an inch typical Championship football. From 1 to 16 everybody played as if their lives depended on it. POTM Entire team. Am sending the cleaning bill for the drowning given to the coach .
Na Dubh Ghall Club Notes
Great second half comeback from NDG U10 hurlers on Saturday to beat a strong St.Marks side 15pts to 14pts. Trailing 11 pts to nil at half time things didn’t look to good – but good determined /physical hurling was then produced to earn NDG a great win.
Well done to all the lads and in particular Nathan for his no nonsense tackling. Well done all.
Hard luck to the U13 girls who were beaten by a strong Na Fianna b side 4-8 to 2-6 on Saturday.
The girls showed good fighting spirit in the second half to take some terrific scores but couldn’t just get there in the end. Again well done to all who were involved.
