So it has been a while since our last post on here as we are much more active on our Facebook page (Facebook.com/NaDubhGhall) but boy have we been busy… let’s go back a few weeks and recap!
Our Nursery that takes place every Saturday morning at 10am in the Racecourse Park is growing by the second and I bet its not just because of the good weather. We have had a few new players join us on our team and start learning the skills of gaelic! Back in April they played a fantastic game against St.Monica’s that ended in a draw but everyone had great fun and it was a learning experience. Our Under 12’s team are going from strength to strength, on the same day in April our Under 12’s played against Fingallians and had a great game winning 8G7P to 6G2P which got us into the league with a winning start.
Next up was our trip to Croker! Our Nursery had been invited by Croke Park to come play on the pitch and get a little tour of the museum. We played a great game against Raheny with the end result coming to a draw, but everyone got their chance to run up through the tunnels (just like the players) and go up to the stand where they would pick up the trophy in a major final. It was such an exceptional experience so thank you so much to Croke Park for having us.
And last but not least is the big one….our Multi Sport Summer Camp. Na Dubh Ghall collaborated with local sports teams and clubs to put on 4 days of fun filled activities from Rugby to Football and even HipHop. With a full house each day held a new task and an opportunity to make new friends and have fun. We also arranged a surprise guest to come along and meet the children, non other than GAA All Star Bernard Brogan! It was an amazing 4 days and we hope everyone who took part thouroghly enjoyed themselves. Also a big thank you to everyone who gave a hand during the week including all of the clubs/teams who helped make this all possible.
Also a quick note that our Club 45 is almost full up and every week we have a guaranteed winner! If your interested pop us an email and we can look into getting you signed up firstname.lastname@example.org.
